» Chichester. The market cross stands at the junction of East, West, South and North Streets, each of which is packed with interesting shops giving a good mixture of stylish boutiques with designer fashions, luxury chocolates and French pastries amongst their offerings, and all within the Roman walls of this historic city. A farmers' market runs on every other Friday though the main streets, full of local produce.
» Goodwood. One of the loveliest and most famous racecourses, Goodwood rises and falls around a natural amphitheatre. For those with more mechanical taste Goodwood is also home to the Festival of Speed and Revival celebrating motoring through the ages!
» Arundel Castle. Originally a Norman Keep, most of the castle is now Victorian and remains the home of the Dukes of Norfolk. Within its walls are a magnificent collection of fine furniture and great paintings whilst the gardens have been transformed recently to reflect the interests of an English Gentleman.
» West Dean Gardens. Once owned by the art collector and philanthropist Edward James, the gardens were laid out in Edwardian style with a beautiful pergola by Harold Peto. There are many events during the course of a year including a chilli festival, tomato celebrations and an apple day.
» Parham House and Gardens dates back to 1577 and is without doubt first and foremost and family home, as is reflected in the interiors and gardens - which provide spectacular floral displays. There are seven acres of Pleasure Grounds and a four-acre Walled Garden.
» Denmans Garden. There is something about the four acre garden at Denmans which is quite unlike any other. Its layout is such that the visitor enjoys many small areas within. It is a garden full of ideas to take home, and which can then be interpreted within smaller spaces.
